London-based fashion business consultants Global Fashion Management (GFM) has been helping fashion designers in Trinidad and Tobago build strong fashion brands.
Thierry Bayle and Rachid Laoufir, of GFM, led local Caribbean designers through a three-day programme of workshops, exploring key aspects of the fashion business mix.
Bayle and Laoufir helped attendees test management techniques and draft action plans, preparing their companies for meeting the competition, both regionally and globally.
“It’s incredibly important for the local economy that these companies keep as much as possible of their operation in the Caribbean, so helping them understand how they can run their businesses more effectively - and develop their brands themselves - is vital,” says Thierry Bayle.
“Our masterclass works really well for groups like this, but it works equally well for individual companies where we can sit down with the whole team to work out how best to develop their brand,” he continues.
As well as running the Brand Building Masterclass, Thierry Bayle was also invited to address the Caribbean Investment Forum on enhancing the fashion value chain.
